Find The Perfect Computer For You

With iPads, Androids, and other small devices flooding the market, it’s tempting to think that this might be the time to ditch the desktop in your office. It’s true that the smaller devices are much more portable, but look again. There are still many advantages to balking the trends and sticking with a desktop computer.

Desktop computers are designed for a single workspace. They aren’t made to travel around. Because of this, the components are larger and easier to manipulate. They are less likely to be stolen or dropped. Keyboards are separate from monitors so you can pick a monitor size according to your own needs and specifications. If you want, you can even hook up more than one monitor. A laptop has many of the same components as desktop computers, but they are miniaturized so the entire computer, including the monitor, can fit in your lap and get carried around easily.

This is great until one of the components breaks. Fixing a laptop is much more difficult than fixing a desktop, which allows your to mix and match components. Since you are working with a bigger area, you can also replace parts easily in comparison to replacing laptop parts. A desktop is also more powerful. Just ask any serious computer game player or computer game designer. The desktop tends to have a faster processor than a laptop, and you can install two graphic cards for optimal screen image viewing. Even though laptops and data phones are all the rage, you might find that the classic desktop is the perfect computer for you.
